Cape Breton Island Musical Collection

After over 30 years working behind the scenes in the East Coast music industry, it’s fair to say my affinity for Cape Breton’s songs and sounds is off the charts! And while the Atlantic Region is truly rich with incredible talent, I’d be willing to bet that per capita, Cape Breton goes above and beyond gifted. In fact, a friend of mine, musician and former Executive Director of Celtic Colours International Festival, Max MacDonald, once said, “If you shake a tree in Cape Breton, a fiddler will fall out.” No argument. Which got us to thinking about our newest design, one that reflects the musical side of Cape Breton Island ~ encircled by song, wrapped in the stories sung by its people, played by its players and beloved by all who listen.  And to further our mission here at Got Your Back - this design includes a message on the back "Ciad Mile Failte," which is a traditional Irish Gaelic greeting that in English means "a hundred thousand welcomes." Donald @donald.ferguson1
